
ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland men's soccer team resumes conference play with crucial match at Cleveland State on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.

- Cleveland State is 4-7-2 on the season sitting in eighth place at 1-3-2 in conference play.

Alfa Barry connected on his first career goal helping Oakland to a 1-1 double-overtime draw against visiting Bradley on Tuesday night.
Liam McQueenie tallied two saves in his first start of the season. The Golden Grizzlies are 1-1-3 in overtime games this season.

Nebojsa Popovic connected on the game-winning goal with just 19 seconds left in regulation giving Oakland a crucial 1-0 win over Milwaukee on Saturday night. After making a save,
Sullivan Lauderdale threw an outlet pass to
Jimmy Todd who in turn passed the ball up to Popovic who dribbled across the left side and ripped a shot to the right corner to beat Panther goalkeeper Freddie Lorenzen.
- For his late game heroics, Popovic was also named Nike Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season
- As a team, Oakland ranks fourth in conference in goals (25), assists (24), points (74) and second in saves (67). Additionally, the team earned the 2017-18 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the sixth consecutive year and ninth overall.
- Individually, Popovic leads the team and is tied for sixth in the conference in goals (6) tied for eighth in assists (6) and points (18)
while Lauderdale ranks second in saves (64) and tied for fourth in shutouts (3).
