CLEVELAND --
Krysteena Davis recorded 18 kills, hitting .429, and had seven blocks and two digs as the Oakland volleyball team came up short in a hard-fought five-set battle with Cleveland State Sunday afternoon at Woodling Gymnasium.
Jamie Walling led the Oakland offense with 21 kills, plus added seven digs and two blocks on the defensive end.
Aleksandra Malek also registered double-digit kills with 12 while
Abby Neidinger had nine kills, four blocks and three digs.
Three Golden Grizzlies recorded double-digit dig performances with
Lindsay Wightman leading the way with 20.
Sydney Mann and
Maddie Lentz each added 14 digs.
Jordan Lentz had another solid outing from the setter position, notching 58 assists and nine digs.
Oakland, (7-14, 3-7 HL) will return home for a pair of matches next weekend against Milwaukee (Oct. 26) and UIC (Oct. 27).
