ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Darien Bandel slammed 18 kills and added 12 digs while Sammy Condon had 10 kills and five blocks as the Oakland volleyball team defeated Southern Illinois (0-6) in four sets Friday evening during the Holiday Inn West Invite hosted by Western Michigan at Read Fieldhouse.

Krysteena Davis and Jordan Lentz each hit nine kills and had hitting percentages of .533 and .412 respectively. Lentz also lead the way with 14 digs while Lindsay Wightman added 10.

The Golden Grizzlies (4-5) will return to action for their home opener Friday, Sept. 15 against Kent State as part of the Golden Grizzlies Invitational at the O'rena.
