ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Oakland women's soccer assistant coaches Stew Givens and Claire Scanlan announced Tuesday the addition of five student-athletes during the 2017 signing period. The 2017 class is comprised of Hollie Clement (Ipswich, England) Ana Ginez (Lake Orion, Mich.) Truly Hoenig (Oakland Township, Mich.), Vera Razburgaj (Novi, Mich.) and Ashley Postma (Caledona, Mich.)

"We are very excited to be adding Hollie, Ana, Truly, Vera and Ashley. All of these student athletes represent what Oakland and the women's soccer team is all about," Givens and Scanlan said. "First and foremost they are fantastic people who want to continually better themselves and push their teammates. They will challenge and push our current team as well as add depth to the squad."

Givens and Scanlan on Clement: "Hollie is going to be a very exciting player to watch next fall. She is a dynamic attacking player that can play out wide and at the attacking midfield position. She will strengthen our attack immediately and continue to help evolve our team culture."

Ana Ginez
Lake Orion, Mich.
Shattuck St. Mary's High School
5-8 • Forward and Defense

Givens and Scanlan on Ginez: "Ana is another versatile player that can play in a number of positions. She is a leader on and off the field. Ana also understands and reads the game very well which will make her a valuable member of the team next year."

Truly Hoenig
Oakland Township, Mich.

• Made it to nationals playing for Vardar

Givens and Scanlan on Razburgaj: "Vera is an incredibly smart and versatile player. Vera could feature in a number of different positions for us this fall all over the field. It is going to be a fun process figuring out how Vera will best serve the team next year."

Ashley Postma
Caledonia, Mich.
Caledonia High School
