CLEVELAND - Taylor Gleason scored a team-high 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting from behind the arc with four assists and four rebounds while Leah Somerfield recorded her third double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds as Oakland dropped its league opener, 70-62, at Cleveland State on Thursday night.

Cierra Bond added 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting and 3-of-7 from 3-point range with three rebounds and two assists. Chloe Guingrich also grabbed a team-high three steals defensively.

Oakland (7-5, 0-1 HL) continues league play at Youngstown State on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 1 p.m.
