INDIANAPOLIS - Oakland cross country student-athlete Maggie Schneider was named Horizon League Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Schneider, a sophomore from Davisburg, Mich., finished third out of 247 runners with a Red 6K time of 21:02.3 to lead Oakland to an eighth-place team finish at the Bradley Pink Classic (Oct. 13).

Oakland will host the 2017 Horizon League Championships at the Katke-Cousins Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 28 beginning at 11 a.m.
