Oct. 10, 2017

Box Score

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Alec Greene scored his second consecutive game-winning goal giving Oakland a 1-0 win over visiting Ohio State on Tuesday night at the Oakland Soccer field. After sitting out last season due to injury, Wes Mink made five saves picking up his first shutout since the 2015 season. The win is Oakland's second over OSU and marks the second time the Golden Grizzlies have defeated two teams from the Big Ten Conference since the 2014 season.

In the 30th minute, Nick Strack fed the ball up to Nebojsa Popovic who placed a through ball to Greene breaking free inside the box who in turn beat OSU goalkeeper Parker Siegfried with a low shot to the left side.

Oakland will host archrival Detroit Mercy in a Metro Series Driven by Trinity Transportation showdown on homecoming Saturday, Oct. 14 at 3:30 p.m.
