Has it become one of the toughest parts of your jobs to find adjectives to describe Kay Felder?
It really does. And then the other thing that's tough is you know, that was a great team win. Max Hooper 8-11 from the three. Percy Gibson was dominant in the post against the seven-footer. Their guy had almost a triple double last night, Nick Daniels shut him down you know as good as you probably- 6-18- he really got after him. I didn't think played really well early in the game and I thought the game was their pick up level pace which is what they want. And then I thought we did a much better job. We locked down the last five minutes of the first half- eight straight stops. Went little, we guarded and that changed the whole game. And then we got comfortable and we were really good the second half.

What you told them at halftimeââ'¬Â¦
I just told them we've got to be one point ahead and we've got to be smart and we weren't being smart. I made a joke, I said somebody up in the stands yell I've got next. You know that's not what we're about. We're about execution and running our offense and we led the nation in scoring because we executed, not because we played pick-up. And I thought we really executed the second half and when you've got a maestro out there doing that when he gets going like that-I mean we were ahead of Virginia at halftime and led Michigan State by 13- we've done it against the best teams in the country.

On the inaugural Vegas 16ââ'¬Â¦
We weren't sure we wanted to play because we were so devastated. And you've seen how good our league is-you know Valpo's in the championship (of the NIT). And we really thought we could get to the NCAA tournament. But after as few days, they want to play they're kids. And then this came across us and we wanted to do this immediately because it's a destination. And everyone's in the same place, you see everyone in the hotel. But I didn't know we were going to get unbelievably like this. I didn't know I was going to get the greatest host in the history of hosts to be with our team. I mean the games are on national tv, everyone's watching. They're might not be a lot of people here, but there's a lot of people watching. So it's been awesome for our team. Our kids have loved this. I have great respect for the Vegas 16 and in gratitude that we were lucky enough to get in.

Are you going to tell Kay to enjoy himself a little turning 21 in Las Vegas?
Yea, but he's not that type of kid. As you can talking to him, he's a quiet kid. He's just laid back, he's focused, laser focused on what he wants and what he wants in life. You know he's just a good, good kid. He's a joy to coach. But my whole team is. I've got great kids. I love this team and I'm telling you they're all like sons

On the play of Max Hooperââ'¬Â¦
Max was awesome. You know, his whole family is here. You know his story. You know what he's gone through and the pain that he's been in. You know I saw where they put a picture of his dad, so I'm so happy for him because now he can end his career like this after you know the devastation of having your father pass away right before the conference tournament. So I'm really happy for him and Max Hooper has been a godsend for our program.
