ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Melissa Deatsch slammed 20 kills plus seven digs, four assists and two blocks as the Oakland volleyball team extinguished the UIC Flames in five sets Friday night at the O'rena. Deatsch's 20 kills marks the fifth time in her career she has recorded 20 or more kills in a match.

Alli Gutschow became the seventh player in program history to surpass 1,000 career digs as she notched 12 digs to go with three assists and one service ace. Sammy Condon added 14 kills to go with six blocks and two service aces and Darien Bandel had 11 kills, three blocks, two digs and a service ace. With the win, Rob Beam now has 150 career wins at Oakland, good for second-most in Oakland history.
