OAKLAND CLINCHES NO. 4 SEED WITH 3-2 WIN

ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Golden Grizzlies picked up a key 3-2 win on senior night over Wright State at the Oakland Soccer Field Friday, as seniors Alice Palmer and Aly Rawson each scored a goal, and goalkeeper Alison Holland tallied two saves in their regular season finale.

Oakland came out to a quick start, scoring all three goals within a 10 minute time frame. Sydney Duggan netted her first goal of the season in the 10th minute to put the Golden Grizzlies up 1-0, three minutes later Palmer gave Oakland the 2-0 advantage. Rawson recorded her second goal of the season in the 20th minute, heading in a cross from Sydnye Gagner.

Friday's win clinches a spot as the no. 4 seed for the Golden Grizzlies as they will host the to be determined no. 5 seed Monday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m in the Horizon League Championship quarterfinals game.
