Jan. 22, 2016 ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland track and field team continues the 2015-16 indoor season at the Eastern Michigan Triangular held at Bowen Fieldhouse in Ypsilanti, Mich. on Saturday, Jan. 23 beginning at 10 a.m.
Meet Notes:
â-ª Last season, Oakland competed in a quad-meet with host EMU, CMU and the University of Detroit Mercy.
â-ª The men's teams placed second with 109 points
â-ª Chris Scott claimed the 1000m title with a time of
2:32.21 while George O'Connor and David Koponen finished second and third respectively at 2.32.71 and 2:32.96
â-ª Andrew Bowman finished second in the 3000m at 8:54.78
â-ª Nicholas Girodat placed second in the long jump with a mark of 22 feet 4.5 inches
â-ª The women's team finished fourth with 60 points
â-ª Miranda Haas finished second in the 3000m at 10:18.30 followed by Jenae Curley with a time of 10.28.26 to place fourth
GVSU Bob Eubanks Classic (Jan. 16):
â-ª Men's team placed second with 71 points
â-ª Women's team placed seventh with 21 points
â-ª Bryce Stroede broke his previous 3000m school
record with a time of 8:14.63 to finish first
â-ª Andrea Koenigstneckt set the school 600m mark at 1:36.09
â-ª Men's 4X400 relay team of Zach Joyce, Tim Pfund,
Austin Davis and Corey Goodloe finished first eclipsing their own school record (3:17.53)
â-ª Goodloe also set the school 400m mark (49.25)
â-ª Aaron Davis won the 200m with a time of 21.99
â-ª Hayley MacDonald placed second in the Pentathlon with 3042 points
