ROCHESTER, Mich. - Women's track and field athlete Ashley Burr has been named the Oakland Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week of April 27-May 3, after winning one event and finishing runner-up in another at the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend.

Burr, a sophomore from Midland, Mich., won the 5,000m run on Sunday with a time of 18:00.17 as Oakland placed first, third, fourth and sixth in the event. She began the championship with a second-place finish in the 10,000m run on Friday with a time of 37:31.57.

The women's track and field championship finished third at the championship, its highest ever finish at a league championship, with a program-best 101 points.
