NCAA Prelim 10,000m Results

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - In only his second career 10,000m race, Bryce Stroede finished 43rd with a time of 32:52.85 at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships East Preliminaries held at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.

"This isn't what Bryce wanted going into this, but as a red-shirt freshman, it was an amazing accomplishment just getting here," said head coach Paul Rice. "He now has three more years of this and I know this is an experience that will make him better in the future. I'm extremely proud of this young man and everything he has accomplished in such a short period of time. Our future is extremely bright because of guys like Bryce."

The competition continues on Friday, May 29 as Serena San Cartier will run the 100m hurdles heat-6 prelims at 5 p.m. If she advances, the quarterfinals will take place on Saturday, May 30 at 7:05 p.m. Gino Vitella will also compete in the shot put on Saturday at 5 p.m.
