WPBA Lady Legends Celebrity Game
ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland women's basketball assistant coach Stacey Lovelace has been selected to compete in the Women's Professional Basketball Alumnae (WPBA) Lady Legends Celebrity Basketball Game on Saturday, April 4 during Championship Weekend in Tampa, Fla. The game will showcase legends of the WNBA competing on either Team Chasity Melvin or Team Ticha Penicheiro.
Lovelace played 14 years professionally, including eight years in the WNBA for the Seattle Storm, Minnesota Lynx, Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics. She graduated from Purdue in 1996 and was named a two-time AP All-American and the Big Ten Conference Player of the Year in 1995.
The game takes place at 7 p.m. from Jefferson High School and includes such WNBA legends as Ruthie Bolton, Tocarra Williams and Nakia Sanford.
