AKRON, Ohio-The Oakland men's swimming and diving team took down three more records during day three on their way to winning the 2015 Zippy Invitational, while the women's team took second place and broke two records Sunday at Ocasek Natatorium.

Devon Nowicki broke the 200-yard breaststroke pool and meet record while also earning an NCAA 'B' qualifying time and was also a part of the 400 free relay team of Jeremiah Morren, Tuomas Kiviluoma and Andrew Binder that broke the meet and pool record. Mitch Alters also broke the meet record in the 200 fly and Aleksander Danielewski broke the meet and pool record in the 200 back and earned an NCAA 'B' cut.
On the women's side, Nikki Flynn broke the school record in the 100 free in prelims (50.02) then later teammate Holly Morren made history by not only breaking Flynn's and the Horizon League record in finals (49.82), but also became the first woman in the history of the Horizon League to swim under 50 seconds in a 100 free. Her time was also a NCAA 'B' qualifying time.

The Golden Grizzlies will be back in action Jan. 9 as the women travel to Toledo for a dual meet and both teams return Jan. 15 and 16 for a two-day quad-meet at Kenyon College against Kenyon, Cincinnati and Olivet Nazarene.
