2014-15 NFCA Division I All-American Scholar-Athletes
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Sara Cupp, Sarah Hartley, Jackie Kisman, Lindsay Lutton, Carah Pletscher and Laura Pond garnered National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2014-15 academic year. To qualify, student-athletes most have a 3.5 grade point average or higher.
In total, 5,493 softball players across seven membership divisions were named with NCAA Division I having the most student-athletes with 1,554 honorees. 1,018 in Division III earned recognition followed by 833 Division II student-athletes. NAIA amassed 410 recipients and Junior College totaled 360.
The 2015 season was one of the most successful campaigns in program history as Oakland captured a share of its first regular season Horizon League title and claimed its first Horizon League Tournament championship to earn its third overall NCAA Regional birth.
