ROCHESTER, Mich. - Sammy Condon led Oakland with 11 kills Tuesday evening in a 25-13, 25-22, 25-22 setback to Eastern Michigan in a non-conference contest at the Athletics Center O'rena.
"We had a lot of errors, both forced and unforced, than we've had," Oakland head coach Rob Beam said. "Hopefully, that's just an aberration, and we'll get back to work."
Oakland (10-7) struggled to get its offense in stride, as the team tallied 37 kills on a .085 hitting percentage. Condon's 11 kills on 19 attempts was a bright spot, as the redshirt freshman hit a match-best .421.
Ciara Schultz gave out 30 assists as Jessica Dood and Cassie Pelloni each registered nine kills apiece. Taylor Humm led Oakland with 11 digs.
Eastern Michigan (10-6) hit .243 on offense and stifled Oakland with 12 team blocks.
Oakland's four-match home stand continues Friday when the Golden Grizzlies return to Horizon League action against Wright State at 7 p.m.
