VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) - The Golden Grizzlies rallied from 14 down to take the lead, but fell in the end to Valparaiso, 63-60, on Sunday after Clay Yeo hit a 3-pointer with 7 seconds remaining.
Bobby Capobianco scored on a three-point play to give Valparaiso a 60-57 lead with 2:25 to remaining. Both teams missed 3-pointers on its next two possessions. Travis Bader then answered for Oakland, draining a trey to tie the game at 60 with 40.2 seconds to play before Yeo hit the game-winner. Dante Williams, who had made three 3-pointers, missed from beyond the arc with 1 second left for Oakland.
Bader and Corey Petros each scored 14 points to lead Oakland (9-17, 4-7). Kahlil Felder added 12 for the Grizzlies.
Alec Peters scored 13 points and Yeo hit four 3-pointers and finished with 12 for Valparaiso (15-11, 7-4 Horizon League). LaVonte Dority added 11 points and dished out five assists. Capobianco finished with 10 points and nine rebounds.
