GREEN BAY, Wis. - Oakland's Stephanie Bukovec made five saves in the first half and Kyla Kellermann had five shots, including two on goal, in a 2-0 loss to Green Bay in Horizon League women's soccer action on Friday at Aldo Santaga Stadium. The Golden Grizzlies fall to 4-5-1, 0-1-0, while the Phoenix improve to 4-3-3, 1-0-0.

"The team's performance was absolutely deserving of the result," said interim head coach Dave Morgan. "We did not play well at all today and it was not the overall effort we are accustomed to. We have had some tremendous games this season, today we lacked a commitment to compete. We must quickly learn from this and move forward."

Payj O'Shea entered the game in goal for the Golden Grizzlies in the second half, making one save and did not allow a goal. Rachel DeLuca and Serena San Cartier each had three shots, two on goal, to lead OU.

Green Bay struck quickly in the contest as Heidi Hartmann scored on her own rebound just four minutes into the game. Hannah Kernen added a goal in the 43rd minute as she sent the initial shot off the OU goalkeeper and eventually followed it with a tap-in goal to give the Phoenix a 2-0 advantage.

The Golden Grizzlies were much stronger in the second half, outshooting the Phoenix 10-5. Green Bay's Nastacia Behle was up to the challenge, making five saves over the final 45 minutes, seven in the game, to post her third shutout of the season.

Oakland will host Saint Francis (PA) on Sunday at Noon on the OU Soccer Field. The game can be viewed on the Horizon League Network with Neal Ruhl calling the game.
