BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Evan Bowser shot a 3-under-par 68 and Mark Foster carded a final round of 2-under-par 69 to lead the Oakland men's golf team to a score of 292 (+8) on the final day of the NYX Hoosier Invitational on the IU Golf Course. The Golden Grizzlies posted an overall score of 886 (+34) and finished in a tie for seventh place.

"Mark and Evan had a solid tournament this weekend, but we were unable to get four good scores in any of the rounds and that is what it takes to be competitive," said OU coach Russ Cunningham.

Foster finished the tournament in a tie for 12th place with an overall score of 214 (+1), while Bowser tallied a 14th-place finish with a score of 215 (+2). IU's Andrew Fogg took home medalist honors after shooting a final round 68 to post a winning score of 208 (-5).

The Hoosiers took home the team championship with a score of 850 (-2). Illinois State finished second (+3) and Michigan was third (+13).

The Golden Grizzlies will compete in the Detroit Titans Invitational on April 12-13 at Prestwick Village Golf Club. That will be the final tune-up before The Summit League tournament, April 22-24.
