Oakland Ends Season with 99-87 Loss at Youngstown State

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Travis Bader set The Summit League and school's single-season 3-point field goals record by hitting five triples as the Oakland men's basketball team lost in the opening round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament at Youngstown State, 99-87.

Bader finished the season with 139 3-pointers, most in the NCAA, to pass Erik Kangas who finished with 135 in 2008-09. He finished the game with a team-high 30 points including a going a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line.

Corey Petros added 23 points while Duke Mondy had 13 points.

Oakland finishes the season 16-17. The Grizzlies were just 6-14 on the road. It was Oakland's fifth consecutive posteseason appearance.

Youngstown State moves on in the tournament with an 18-15 season record.

The Penguins' Kendrick Perry had a game-high 31 points while Blake Allen added 27.

Oakland was up 44-43 at the half, but the Penguins pulled away in the second half.
