PRIMM, Nev. - Nick Cunningham carded a 2-under-par round of 69 to lead the Oakland men's golf team to a sixth-place standing and a round of 293 (+5) on Monday at the Jackrabbit Invitational. Cunningham is currently in a tie for fifth place.

"We were making plenty of birdies and eagles out there today," said OU coach Russ Cunningham. "But we made far too many mistakes to prevent us shooting competitive scores."

Evan Bowser posted a score of 74, while Mark Foster and Bryan VandenBerg both shot 75. Matt Domagalski finished with a round of 76. Bowser is in a tie for 30th place, Foster and VandenBerg are in a tie for 39th place. Domagalski stands in a tie for 53rd place for the Grizzlies.

Air Force took the first-round lead with a 12-under-par score of 276, two shots ahead of Idaho. OU is one shot from fifth place North Dakota and five behind host South Dakota State.

North Dakota's Alex Robb and Idaho's Gordon Webb each shot a score of 65 in Round 1 to share the overall lead. They are both two shots clear of third place.

Due to the frost delay this morning, the teams were only able to get halfway through in Round 2. The Golden Grizzlies are 8-over-par in second round and slipped into a tie for 10th place.
