ROCHESTER, Mich.- The Oakland softball team (3-23) will look to snap an eight-game losing streak as they head to the west side of the state to take on Western Michigan (13-10) in a mid-week double header at Ebert Field on Tuesday. The doubleheader is set to begin at 2 p.m.

Oakland is 6-19 all-time against the Broncos as the two teams split last season at the OU Softball Field including a 2-1 win in the second game. Erika Polidori hit .500 on the weekend after going 6-for-12, driving in two runs, including two doubles. Abbie Richardson leads the Golden Grizzlies in the circle with a 2-4 record including a 4.76 ERA.

WMU is coming off a two-game sweep of Miami in its home- and league-opening series. Meredith Whitney leads the Broncos in pitching and hitting as she leads the team with a 8-6 record and a 3.06 ERA in the circle, while hitting a team-high .386 with 14 RBIs. Tara Buchanan leads the team in home runs with three and is second on the team in RBIs with 12.
