INDIANAPOLIS - Travis Bader scored a team-high 20 points on 6 of 12 shooting from behind the arc, but IUPUI (9-15, 3-9) held off two last-second attempts from Oakland (12-13, 6-7) to snap a seven-game losing streak and defeat the Golden Grizzlies, 79-75, inside The Jungle on Wednesday night.

Reggie Hamilton finished with 18 points and eight assists, moving in to 10th all-time in Summit League history with 489. Laval Lucas-Perry matched a season-high three 3-pointers, scoring 11 points for the Golden Grizzlies. Drew Valentine led all players with 12 rebounds and finished with eight points.

Christian Siakam scored a season-high 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds to pace the Jaguars. Alex Young tallied 14 points, battling foul trouble, and Sean Esposito scored 18 points off the bench on 4 of 7 shooting from beyond the arc.

With OU trailing by four points, 76-72, Bader drilled a 3-pointer in the corner to cut the lead to just one with 33 seconds remaining. The Golden Grizzlies then turned the Jaguars over with 24 seconds left in the game as Young traveled.

With a chance to win the game, Hamilton drove to the basket and absorbed a lot of contact, missing the shot, and IUPUI grabbed the rebound. After a foul, Young missed the first free throw and made the second as Oakland was down by just two, 77-75.

Once again, the Golden Grizzlies turned to Hamilton as he drove to the basket , but came up just short in tying the game. Esposito grabbed the big defensive rebound with 0.6 seconds left and was fouled immediately, making both free throws to seal OU's fate.

The Golden Grizzlies will take on Western Illinois (12-8, 6-5) on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET in Macomb. The game can be listened to on WDFN-AM (1130).
