Oakland Head Coach Greg Kampe
Opening statement
"I just want to say how pleased I am for our university, for our president, who has given us the resources to build a program over the 10 years with this transition. Two times now in the NCAA Tournament, we've got to be very pleased with that. I told this team before the game that - people will argue with me on this - you will be the greatest team in the history of this league if you win tonight. If you don't, you're not. Because, they won more games than any league team has ever won, the statistics show that, and we came into the tournament and won all three games by double digits."
On expectations heading into NCAA Tournament compared to 2005 appearance
"Well, we deserved the play-in game in 2005 because of our record ... I hope we get a 13 seed. We'll get 14 at the worst probably, but hopefully we'll get a 13 or 12. If we do, we have expectations to win. We have a goal board in our locker room, and on that goal board is to make the Sweet 16. We're just not happy to be there. A couple years ago we were really happy to be there. We're 'happy' to be there, but not 'just happy.'"
Derick Nelson
After scoring 36 points on the night
"Me and (Johnathon Jones), we talked about it from the beginning of the year - this is our last chance to get to the NCAA Tournament. And, tonight, I just didn't want to be think after the game that I could have done something more to help us out. So, tonight I just happened to have a good game."
IUPUI Coach Ron Hunter
On the Game
"I thought that Oakland played very well. I think the key to the game is when Oakland switched to a zone. It changed the game. We got off to a good start offensively and had a nice lead but when they switched to zone it changed the game. It slowed us down. It took Robert Glenn out of game. And it helped settle Oakland down."
About Robert Glenn
"He is a good player. I wanted him to be able to play on a bigger stage. The zone bothered him and it took away his one-on-one ability. The way he started I thought he was going to have a monster game."
