ROCHESTER, Mich. - Senior Keith Benson posted his ninth double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while senior Larry Wright tallied a double-double with 12 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, as Oakland University (7-6) won its 16th straight home game with a 103-79 victory over Rochester College (8-6) in men's basketball action on Monday inside the Athletics Center O'rena.

"It was a well played game," said OU coach Greg Kampe. "Garth's (Pleasant) team played outstanding and shot the ball very well. Obviously they couldn't guard us inside. I was very pleased with the game."

Also in double figures for the Grizzlies was junior Reggie Hamilton with 17, senior Will Hudson and freshman Travis Bader each scored 14.

The Golden Grizzlies began the game on a 19-5 run and never looked back as OU shot 50 percent (20-for-40) in the opening 20 minutes and led by 20 at halftime, 54-34.

The Warriors brought a 27-point deficit down to 12 points in the second half, 73-61, with 11:53 remaining, but OU responded with a 20-5 run to ice the game.

Oakland outrebounded the much smaller Rochester College, 49-29, and tallied 32 second-chance points to the Warriors' two. Both teams shot 48 percent for the game, 33-for-69.

With the win, the Golden Grizzlies advance to the Lou Henson Award Holiday Tournament championship game against Valparaiso who defeated Eastern Michigan, 74-67 in game one. The tournament is presented by Fifth Third Bank and hosted by OU.
