NORMAL, Ill. - Junior Frank McAuliffe shot a final round 73 (+3), and sophomores Vince Carango and Robby McNiff handed in scores of 74 (+4) and 75 (+5), respectively, to pace the Oakland University men's golf team on the final day of the D.A. Weibring Invitational on the par 70, 6,681-yard Weibring Golf Course this Monday.

Top-ranked Illinois won its third event this year with an overall score of 831 (-9), while the Golden Grizzlies finished in a tie for 11th place with a score of 894 (+54). Tournament host Illinois State finished in second place, 18 shots off the pace, with a three-day total of 849 (+9). Summit League foe Western Illinois claimed third with a score of 854 (+14).

Sophomore Michael Marks turned in the final score for OU with a final round of 79. The Golden Grizzlies will close out the fall season in Hopkinsville, Ky, for the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, Oct. 20-21.
