Kristi Tomczyk (Clinton Township, Mich.) propelled Oakland to a 3-2 OT victory over host Western Michigan at the WMU Soccer Complex this afternoon. With the win Oakland improves to 2-5 overall, while the Broncos fell to 1-5-1. Tomczyk gave the Golden Grizzlies an early 1-0 lead, splitting the defense and shooting from 10 yards out to notch her first goal of the season. Sophomores

Jessica Boyle (Lake Orion, Mich.) helped set up the play. WMU outshot Oakland 11-6 in the first half, but the Golden Grizzlies held the 1-0 lead at intermission.
