Allan posted the first goal of the game versus #18 Cincinnati on Wednesday en route to a 2-1 upset of the Bearcats. The rookie then assisted on Oakland's game-winner versus Centenary on Saturday to help even out OU's record at 6-6-0. Allan has been aggressive in the midfield for the Golden Grizzlies this season, posting 15 shots on the offensive end, and helping out a strong Oakland defense that leads the conference with the fewest goals allowed this season (16) and has the lowest goals against average (1.33). Wiese garners the weekly honor for the second time this season, doing so a month ago after keying a 2-1 victory over Michigan. This time around, the net minder first collected five saves in a 2-1 victory over 18th-ranked Cincinnati, then made six stops in a 2-0 shutout of Centenary to place Oakland second in the Mid-Con standings at 2-1-0. Wiese is third in the league in goals against average (1.36) as well as third in saves with 59 for the season. The senior has allowed just six goals in the last eight contests, posting a 6-2 record during the span. Oakland steps out of conference play this week and travels to Ohio State to take on the Buckeyes Wednesday, Oct. 19. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
