Mike Skolnik had three saves in the win as he recorded his first shutout of the season and the 29th of his career. The Grizzlies posted two shots, five cornerkicks, three goalkeeper saves and 18 fouls. Marquette had 11 shots, five cornerkicks, no goalkeeper saves and 25 fouls. "I was very pleased with the way our guys played," said head coach Gary Parsons. "I was glad to see we were disciplined for being such a young team." Oakland will be in action again on Friday, September 7 as the Golden Grizzlies travel to Dayton, Ohio to face the Flyers of the University of Dayton. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
