Mike Skolnik (Livonia/Churchill) recorded his sixth shutout of the season as he recorded five saves in the victory over ORU. Oakland had 14 shots, six corner kicks, five goalkeeper saves, and 15 fouls. Oral Roberts had 12 shots, no corner kicks, two saves, and 23 fouls. "We had a sloppy first five minutes," said head coach Gary Parsons. "It was an ugly game. I wasn't happy with the way we played, but we got the win." Oakland will return home to face Bowling Green on Tuesday October 17. Game time is 4 p.m. at the OU soccer field.
