Her time at Virginia was marked by her dual role as both a staff member and a student-athlete. As a graduate transfer, Yon was a member of the UVA’s Women’s Volleyball team. Yon graduated with a Master of Education in Higher Education with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from the University of Virginia in May 2023.Â
Additionally, she began her academic and athletic journey at the University of West Florida. During her tenure, she was a decorated student-athlete on the volleyball team where she achieved numerous accolades, including being named a Division II First Team All-American, Ron Lenz Player of the Year, and the South Region Player of the Year. Her impressive record at UWF included leading the nation in hitting percentage in 2021, along with setting a single-season school record for blocks. In May 2022, Yon graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Marketing Applications.
