Maggie Reder

Maggie Reder joined Oakland Athletics in October 2025 as the Director of Academic Success and is a passionate and student-focused education professional with over a decade of diverse experience spanning academic advising, teaching, and administrative leadership in both secondary and post-secondary settings. With a proven track record of supporting student success through personalized advising, crisis intervention, and program development, Reder brings a unique blend of compassion, strategy, and organizational excellence to every role she takes on.

Previously, Reder served as an Academic Coach and Advisor at Mount St. Mary College. She specialized in guiding undeclared and transfer nursing students through the complexities of academic life, while providing critical support in areas such as time management, test anxiety, and academic recovery, while also connecting students to vital campus and community resources.

Reder also held key roles at Kansas State University and Central Michigan University, where she supported research initiatives, advised first-generation college-bound students through the Upward Bound program, and led workshops on college success, financial literacy, and cultural competency.

Reder holds a Master of Science in Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University. Her commitment to ongoing professional development includes training in Appreciative Advising and Mental Health First Aid.

A collaborative leader and dedicated mentor, Reder is also active in programs that foster student engagement and community building, including the Knight Summer Connections Bridge Program and First Year Experience. She has served as an advisor and leader in various student and family support groups, consistently advocating for inclusive, supportive educational environments.
