Mikaela Schulz

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Mikaela Schulz joined the Women's Golf staff as a volunteer assistant coach in the fall of 2026.

Schulz grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan, and began her golf career competing at the varsity level for Bloomfield Hills High School. She went on to play collegiate golf at the University of Michigan, where she spent five years on the Wolverines women’s golf team while earning her Master of Social Work.

During her time at Michigan, Schulz was a key contributor to one of the most successful periods in program history. She helped the Wolverines capture their first Big Ten Championship in program history in 2022, along with four team titles, three runner-up finishes, three NCAA Regional selections, and back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Finals. Individually, she earned two collegiate victories, including medalist honors at the 2019 Shirley Spork Invitational and co-medalist honors at the 2021 Wolverine Invitational. She was also named Big Ten Golfer of the Week twice and earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2022.

Schulz’s accomplishments extended beyond the golf course. She was a four-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, and two-time Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholar.

Following her collegiate career, Schulz has continued to pursue her passion for helping athletes develop both on and off the course. She has worked with athletes as a sports performance coach and is certified in sport social work, bringing a unique perspective that combines athletic development with mental and social well-being.

Since June 2024, Schulz has served as a golf instructor at Kendall Academy at Miles of Golf, where she works with golfers of all ages and skill levels through both individual and group instruction.

As an assistant coach, Mikaela brings a wealth of competitive experience, a passion for player development, and a holistic approach to coaching. Her goal is to help athletes build confidence, develop their skills, and reach their full potential both as golfers and as individuals.
