Biography
2008-09: Earned first team all-league honors with his first-place finish in the 200 free (1:37.97) ... Also earned first team honors for swimming legs on the 800 free relay team (6:30.71) that set school, league and meet records and the 200 free relay team (1:24.44) that set new league and meet records ... Both of these relays were also NCAA `B' cuts ... Also finished third in the 100 free (44.69) and fourth in the 50 free (20.76) ... An Academic All-League Selection.
2007-08: Earned all-league honors at The Summit League Championships ... Was runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.52), improving his PR by nearly six seconds ... Was fifth in the 100 free and scored in the 50 free.
2006-07: Had season-bests of 22.13 (50 free) and 1:47.33 (200 free) at the Mid-Con Championship.
2005-06: Had a season best of 22.36 in the 50 free at the Miami Invitational ... In exhibition at the Mid-Con Championships, he recorded season-best times in the 100 and 200 free events at the Mid-Con Championships.
High School: Earned three letters in swimming at Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School in Grand Rapids, Mich. ... Took first place finishes in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events, and helped capture the titles in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relays ... All-city honoree in as a sophomore and senior ... Honorable mention all-area as a senior ... Also lettered in football.
