Jake Kneen began serving as a graduate assistant for the men's golf program in September 2023. Kneen graduated from Oakland University with an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2018 with Cum Laude honors. He was a contributing force on the men's golf team from 2014 to 2018 where he turned pro after playing in the 2018 US Amateur.

Highlights of Kneen's career include:

• 2018 Horizon League Player of the Year
• 2015 Horizon League Freshman of the Year
• Recipient of the President's Award at 2017 Black & Gold Awards for outstanding leadership, academic achievement, and leadership.
• Two-time Michigan Open Champion (2018, 2022)
• Monday Qualified with a score of 63 into the 2020 3M Open on the PGA Tour
• Held status on PGA Tour Latinoamerica and PGA Tour Canada (2020, 2021)
• Held status on Forme Tour (2021)
• Michigan Junior Amateur Champion (2014)
• Syron Memorial Champion, with a course record 62 (2017)
• Two-time US Amateur qualifier (2015, 2018)
• Advanced to US Open Sectionals (2017, 2021, 2024)
• MHSAA All-State Honors (2013, 2014)
