Edwards comes to Oakland from Mercer University
Todd Edwards was named Director of Video Content Services in April 2017 and is responsible for overseeing the production of all athletic multimedia content including promotional packages and live streaming production.
Prior to Oakland, Edwards was the Assistant Athletic Director for Video Services at Mercer where he oversaw all video related requests and productions for athletics. He created all video content for mercerbears.com and its social media platforms while producing and directing all live broadcasts for the Bears including broadcasts on Fox Sport Southeast, ESPN3 and American Sports Network.
Before his time in Georgia, Edwards spent four years as the Director of Multimedia Services at Central Michigan University where he was responsible for all video related content for cmuchippewas.com. Edwards also spent time at Notre Dame as the game day video board operator for various Fighting Irish sporting events.
The Iron Mountain, Mich. native began his career in Shreveport, La. as the Director of Game Day Production for the Shreveport Mudbugs, part of the North American Hockey League, before moving on to the South Bend Cubs, the Class A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, as the Director of Production. Edwards graduated from Central Michigan in 2009 with a degree in broadcasting and cinematic arts.
