Bill Potere has been one of the top supporters of the Oakland University athletic program for a number of years. He has been involved with the OU men's basketball program since the mid-to late-70's.
Bill was the original founding president Oakland 100 Club. In the early years of the Oakland 100 sponsored and organized dinners and outings, as well as money-raising ventures. His involvement in the Oakland 100 has continued with the Club's rebirth last year. Bill was the master of ceremonies of last year's basketball luncheons, and organized a steak dinner for the basketball team.
Bill has also been one of the outstanding members of the Rochester community for many years. His activity in the city includes serving as President of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and as Chairman of the Downtown Development Authority. He has received awards from both of those organizations.
Bill lives in Rochester with his wife, Leah, and his daughter, Martha.
