Experience:
2004 Inductee

Award:
2004 George Wibby Award

Glenn McIntosh has been a part of Oakland athletics since his arrival on campus in 1994. An avid bodybuilder and holder of a number of bodybuilding titles, he has used his knowledge of strength, conditioning and nutrition and shared it with countless student-athletes since he became a part of the Oakland family.

McIntosh spends countless hours each year volunteering his time as a strength and conditioning coach with OU athletics, without which many student-athletes would not have access to someone to guide them through their hours in the weight room. He played a significant role in the athletic department's NCAA Division I Certification process, serving on the steering committee and as chair of the equity and welfare sub-committee.

In addition to working with Oakland's athletic teams as a strength and conditioning advisor, his position on campus as the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students has put him in a position to be a mentor for OU's student-athletes. It is a job that he has accepted with enthusiasm, spending many hours in his office counseling student-athletes on the many facets of facing life as a college student and an athlete. A devoted fan of the Golden Grizzlies, he can be seen at many athletics events throughout the year on campus.

In addition to all of his work with OU athletics, McIntosh has provided outstanding service to all of Oakland University and has become a valuable member of the Oakland family since his arrival on campus. He has held several positions on campus, including Director of the Office of Equity, Director of the Advising Resource Center and his current position as an Assistant Vice President.

McIntosh is active in a number of community organizations, including the American Heart Association, Big Brothers and the NAACP.
In special recognition of his association and service to Oakland University and the university's athletics programs, the Intercollegiate Athletics Department proudly presents Glenn McIntosh with the George Wibby Award.
