Roger Faulkner is one of the key people involved with the Marriott Soccer Classic committee. Roger, President of the Michigan Soccer Association, has been a great friend to Oakland soccer and soccer in Michigan.
Roger has been a member of the committee for several years. He has been a critical figure in the development of the tournament, in identifying potential sponsors, and in the television broadcasting of the game. He has donated his time and services for the advancement of Oakland soccer and the Classic.
Roger has been involved in soccer in this area for many years. He was the original founder and general partner of the Detroit Express, and is President of the Michigan 1994 World Cup Committee. He is also a council member of the United States Soccer Federation.
Originally a tennis player, Roger was ranked top 10 in Britain as a junior and serves as a tennis analyst for PASS-TV and WJR radio. He is also the director for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is Southeastern Michigan. Roger and his wife Anne, live in Bloomfield Hills and have five children- Scott, Grant, Elizabeth, Alex and Andy.
