Tortorici comes to Oakland from Wisconsin-Parkside
Charlie Tortorici was named compliance coordinator in October 2017 and assists in the day-to-day compliance matters, monitoring financial aid and ensuring eligibility for student-athletes with NCAA, Horizon League and Oakland University rules.
Prior to Oakland, Tortorici spent time in compliance at Wisconsin-Parkside where he assisted with athlete eligibility certification for prospective and transfer student athletes. Before Wisconsin-Parkside, he also spent time at the National Sports Institute, and the Florida Panthers. He also has legal experience at four different departments in the state of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
The Stuart, Florida native, who graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2017, earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in business administration from the University of Florida in 2013.
