- Experienced defender played in 12 matches and started 10, totaling 873 minutes
- Recorded four shots on goal and registered his lone tally of the campaign against the IUPUI Jaguars on October 22
- Registered a shot on goal in three-straight matches he played in from October 22-November 6
2021:
• Had a breakout season, starting in all 17 games played and totaling 1,554 minutesÂ
• Had his first goal of his collegiate career in the 4-0 victory over Robert Morris (9/29)
• During their final regular-season game against NKU (11/3), Hayes scored a diving header in the second half to tie up the game, eventually leading to a 2-1 victory in double overtime and earning Oakland the title of regular-season champions. This was featured on ESPN's Top-Ten of the week and secured Oakland as the host school for the Horizon League Championship.Â
• Named Oakland University Student-Athlete of the week for his diving header goal against NKU
2020-21:
• Started in all six games played
• Recorded first career assist in 2-2 draw at Wright State (3/6)
• Helped anchor the backline to two shutouts over Robert Morris (2/4) and at Green Bay (4/5)

• Two-time captain and four-year member of the Newcastle Jets (2017-20)
• Helped Newcastle claim two Weifang Cup championships (2017, 2018) and a Hong Kong Sevens Plate title (2018)
