Biography

Alison Tansel joined the staff in the Strength and Conditioning Department at Oakland in the summer of 2012. As a graduate assistant, Alison will assist with the development, implementation, and progression of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for Oakland's men's basketball, women's basketball, men's swimming/diving, and women's swimming/diving teams. Prior to becoming the graduate assistant, Tansel completed a Strength & Conditioning Internship at OU.

Tansel received her B.A. in Wellness, Health Promotion, and Injury Prevention from Oakland University. She also was a four year letter winner in softball for the Grizzlies. She is currently earning her Masters of Science in Exercise Science at OU. Tansel is a certified USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach (USAW-L1SP). She is also certified in CPR, AED & First Aid.
