Biography
2008-09: A first-team all-league honoree for his first-place performances in the 100 breast (54.57) and 100 free (44.57) ... The 100 breast was a Summit League record and an NCAA `B' Cut ... Also swam on the 400 free (2:55.95), 200 medley (1:24.44) and 400 medley (3:21.33) relay teams that all set school, league and meet records, as well as hitting NCAA `B' cuts ...The 200 free relay set a `B' cut, as well as a league and meet record ... Was named Summit League Athlete of the Week on two occasions for notching four first-place finishes against Wright State (11/11) and for touching the wall first in all events competed in against Eastern Michigan (1/14).
2007-08: Earned first team all-league honors in four events at The Summit League Championships ... Won the 100-yard freestyle with the eighth fastest time in Oakland history at 44.99 ... Swam on the championship 200 and 400 free and 400 medley relay squads ... The 400 free and 400 medley teams set the meet record and hit the NCAA 'B' cut ... The 400 medley and 200 free teams also set new school records ... Was runner-up in the 100 breaststroke (56.28) and third in the 50 free (20.53).
2006-07: Finished among the top six in the 100 breast and the 50 and 100 free events ... Swam on the 200 free relay team that won the conference championship.
2005-06: Had three top-10 finishes at the Mid-Con Championships ... A season-best time of 58.26 in the 100 breast led to a third-place finish ... Finished seventh in the 50 free and eighth in the 100 free.
High School: Earned four letters in swimming at Chelsea High School ... Captain of the Bulldogs swimming and diving team ... Helped lead Chelsea to state competition all four years, with a team-high finish of fourth as a sophomore ... Was four-time All-SEC and All-State and a three-time All-American.
