ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies defeated Michigan State 5-2 at OU Softball Field on Wednesday. This victory was particularly momentous as it marked the Golden Grizzlies' first home win over Michigan State since 2003.
Oakland recorded seven hits and four stolen bases, capitalizing on two runs in the first inning to secure the win as they improved to 12-1 at home.

Brooklyn Plitz singled to left center, and Kam Troyer followed with a single of her own. Both runners advanced on stolen bases before
Kayla Turmell doubled to center field, driving in two runs. The Golden Grizzlies led 2-0 after the first inning.
