INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Horizon League announced its #HLSB Weekly Awards, naming Oakland freshman Kama Skrek as Pitcher of the Week.

Skrek delivered three masterful performances, including two shutouts and a series-clinching victory over Detroit Mercy.

She started the week with a shutout win over Lawrence Tech (4/14), pitching 6.0 innings and allowing just one hit.

To close the week, she earned two standout wins over Detroit Mercy at home. In her first start of the series, she shut out the Titans in a complete game, allowing just four hits and tallying five strikeouts. The very next day, she closed the series with another complete-game victory, allowing just one run in a series-clinching win for the Golden Grizzlies.

Skrek maintains a perfect 4-0 record in the circle, with a league-low 2.56 ERA against conference opponents, while also holding opposing batters to a .245 average.
