BEAUMONT, Texas – The series-opening game between the Oakland University Golden Grizzly baseball team and Lamar University has been halted in the top of the eighth inning due to increasing fog in Beaumont.
The Cardinals were leading 6-0, while Oakland had a runner on second base and no outs in the top of the 8th frame before the game was temporarily suspended. Play will resume tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET at Vincent-Beck Stadium. Game two of the series will occur 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
