INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Women's Golf earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional, where the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the regionals of the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships. The Golden Grizzlies will compete in the Columbus Regional from May 5-7.
The twelfth seeded Golden Grizzlies will face a strong field for a shot at the NCAA Championship in California. Regional play will take place May 5-7 at six regional sites, with 396 participants and each site featuring 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
The 2025 Horizon League Champions will travel to the Columbus Regional, which will be played at OSU Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio and will be hosted by Ohio State. The Golden Grizzlies will be part of a twelve team field, where the top-five teams head to the NCAA Championship.
The Golden Grizzlies overcame a 14-stroke deficit to claim the 2025 Horizon League Title. In the final two rounds of play,
Nateda Her,
Olivia Hemmila,
Grace Boczar, and
Lily Bargamian, all put together stellar performances to claim the title. Hemmila, Boczar, and Bargamian were all named to the All-Tournament team for their amazing play in Florida.
In her first year leading the Golden Grizzlies, Head Coach Heather Fortushniak will lead the squad to her first NCAA Regional. Her leadership has helped cement the Golden Grizzlies dominance in the Horizon League, earning their third title in four seasons.
