ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Golden Grizzlies return to action for the second straight week as they travel to West Lafayette to compete in the Purdue Fall Invitational.

The invitational will be held on two courses. Individuals will play the Ackerman-Allen Golf Course in an 18-18 format, while teams will compete on the Kampen-Cosler Course (par 72, 7,465 yards) in the traditional 36-18 format.

Fifteen teams are set to participate in the Purdue Fall Invitational: Ball State, Butler, Illinois State, Loyola Chicago, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Oakland, Ohio, Purdue, Purdue Fort Wayne, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, Toledo, Valparaiso, and Western Kentucky. 

Oakland's roster includes Ellis Kinnaird, Robert Burns, Jack Zubkus, Brennan Sullivan, and Matteo Rocco, with Luke Kelly competing as an individual. The team will start on holes 12-15 alongside golfers from Ohio and Northern Illinois.

This marks Oakland's first appearance at the Purdue Fall Invitational, held annually since 2021. Horizon League competitor Purdue Fort Wayne returns for the second year in a row, after finishing 14th in 2024.

The Golden Grizzlies enter the invitational with momentum, having finished second at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational last weekend. Rocco led the team as an individual, placing sixth overall, his best placement of the season. Kinnaird, Burns, Zubkus, Sullivan, and Kelly also finished in the top 25.

Monday's action begins at 8:45 A.M. (ET) with a shotgun start at Kampen-Cosler Course, while Kelly tees off at 9 A.M. (ET) on the Ackerman-Allen Course. The team will play 36 holes, and Kelly will play 18. On Tuesday, all golfers tee off at 8:30 A.M. (ET) for 18 holes on their respective courses.
