Golden Grizzlies Finish Up Notre Dame Invite

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Oakland Golden Grizzlies men's and women's track and field team wrapped up the Notre Dame Invite with a handful of impressive finishes and several first-place finishes.

Julian Bailey led the charge in the men's 60m, finishing in 6.86 time for third place in the finals. On the women's side, Ke'Vina Finch claimed third (7.66) in the finals, with freshman Lauren Goodman close behind in fifth (7.76). Finch later dominated the 200m, winning in 24.89, while Bailey matched her with a gold in the men's 200m (22.03).

Senior Yami Albrecht delivered in the mile, clocking 4:05.40 for fifth, with Logan Detweiler crossing the line at 4:14.92. Kylei Anderson starred in the 60m hurdles, taking first with an 8.80 finish, while freshman Austin Graham placed fifth for the men.

Alex Mansfield powered to first in the men's shot put (17.38m), and Romario Jackson took third in the weight throw (17.89m). On the women's side, Elizabeth Rice won the weight throw (16.48m) and placed fifth in shot put (11.18m), while in pole vault, Alexa Messina and freshman Genna Golab both cleared 3.30m, finishing second and fourth, respectively.

Both teams are back in action next week as it'll head back to South Bend for the Meyo Invitational, along with traveling to Saginaw Valley for the SVSU Jets Pizza Invitational. Both meets are set to run Friday (Jan. 31) to Saturday (Feb. 1).
